Wellcome to the National Park of Peneda-Gerês

About Us

A Refuge in the Heart of Gerês

In the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, among green valleys, crystal-clear rivers and traditions passed down through generations, the Go To Gerês houses were born – a family project that invites you to pause, breathe and feel.

Our Origins

It all began with the construction of the Casas de Além – two wooden houses that marked the start of our dream: to create a cosy, sustainable refuge in deep harmony with nature and the identity of the Minho region.
Over time, that dream grew and took on a new chapter with the Sobrenatura – newly built houses, with more contemporary lines, but always with the same care, sensitivity and respect for the place.

Sustainability

We are passionate about nature and the authenticity of rural life. It was with that deep love that we designed each space to welcome those looking for more than a place to stay – those seeking a true experience in balance with the world around them.
Each house was carefully designed with sustainable solutions, local materials and architecture that respects the surrounding landscape. We believe it's possible to offer comfort without compromising the planet – and that belief guides everything we do.

Tourism for All

Above all, we believe that tourism should be for everyone. That’s why we have been adapting and building our spaces to offer greater accessibility for people with reduced mobility – always with the same attention to detail, beauty and comfort.
We want every person, regardless of physical condition, to feel truly welcome and at home.

Living to the Rhythm of Nature

Here, days follow the rhythm of the land: with outdoor meals to the sound of nature, dips in the river, trails that awaken the senses, and nights where the stars feel closer.
Whether it’s a romantic escape, a family holiday or a getaway with friends, we want you to find here the perfect balance between rest, authenticity and connection with nature. Because more than hosting guests, we love welcoming people.

“We believe that the future of tourism lies in a respectful relationship between humans and nature. If accommodations are socially responsible, sustainable, inclusive and intelligently designed, nothing more will be needed.”
